Key Task

The New Member Sales role will add new members to our network through careful selection and evaluation. In this role you will independently hunt, develop relationships, demonstrate the value of our services, and close the sale, with the goal of retaining our member base. This role will work closely with our Sales team.

New Member Sales Duties

  • Work the sales process to attract and close new members
  • Proactively hunt and close new members
  • Help prospects understand the value of Nexstar’s offerings
  • Continually evaluate sales systems and processes, identifying and implementing process improvements
  • With the Sales Coordinator and coaching team, develop and implement plan to assist new members with the transition and onboarding to Nexstar
  • Demonstrate strong organizational follow-through and dependability
  • Ability to move forward in ambiguity

Skills and Experience

  • 5-6 years of successful sales in a soft goods/service-related product
  • Relationship-based approach. This is not a transactional sale environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota year over year
  • Ability to self-motivate, self-direct and have high self-discipline
  • Detail oriented and accuracy a must
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Database/CRM experience (ACT, SalesForce)
  • Ability to deliver incredible customer service in every opportunity.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel is heavier during trade show season, otherwise minimum. Approximately 25 days a year

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time when not traveling.
